This function estimates how much traffic a trunk group of known lines can be offered if a given blocking figure can be tolerated

Result

 

A positive integer or zero.

Blocking

The ratio of calls offered to a trunk group that can be blocked

(Unitless)

Between 0.001 and 0.500

Lines

The number of lines in a trunk group

(Unitless)

Between 0 and 90,000

 

 

Example

 

To estimate how much traffic a trunk group of 200 lines can carry at 0.300 (3%) blocking, enter:

 

=ErlBTraffic(0.030,200)

 

The answer should be 190.881
